Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that Nitin Chalke has been named managing director for its Hydraulics Group in India. He will report to Uday Yadav, vice president and general manager – Hydraulics Group, Asia Pacific.

Chalke joins Eaton from Schindler Group, where he was the director – field operations for its elevator and escalator division and also led its sales and new installation divisions in India. He began his career with Ingersoll Rand India Ltd. as a sales engineer, and also served as a sales manager for the Structural India Division of Pentair. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mumbai University in India, and a master’s degree in marketing management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management in Mumbai. Chalke will be based in Pune, India, and succeeds Raja Rajagopalan, who had filled the role on an interim basis and will return to his position of director – Product Management.
